Transportation
Ulster County is ideally situated around three exits
of the New York State Thruway (I-87), with easy access to I-84 and
I-90. Both Amtrak and Metro-North Commuter rails are within a short
commute. Shipping is easily handled by CSX Freight Lines. Stewart
International Airport and Albany International Airport are both
close at hand, with LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark easily reached within
2 hours. Commuter and private air service is also available at the
Kingston-Ulster Airpark, the Wallkill Airport, and the Ellenville
Airport.
